Kokomo Beauty & Cosmetology Courses
We have a variety of Kokomo beauty and cosmetology courses that are designed to develop your professional skills while teaching you about the salon business. We are now enrolling for our Cosmetology & Barbering class. We are pleased to announce that we have IPADS for our students with our new online software with Pivot Point, FUSE. Cosmetology
1500 hours
As a cosmetology student at the Academy, you will be prepared to perform hair, skin, and nail services on the public. In a 1500 hr training program, meeting Indiana State requirements, we provide you with a quality education in all phases of cosmetology. When you graduate, you will be a knowledgeable, skilled professional ready to pass the state board exams and work as a cosmetologist.

Cosmetology (Advanced)
1680 hours
As a cosmetology(advanced) student at the Academy, you will be prepared to perform hair, skin, and nail services on the public. In a 1680 hr. training program, meeting Indiana State requirements, we provide you with a quality education in all phases of cosmetology. The Cosmetology (Advanced) course also includes certifications in Dream Catchers Hair Extensions, Sugar Lash Pro Lash Extensions and Lash Lift & Tint, and Summit Salon Academy Nail Techniques. When you graduate, you will be a knowledgeable, skilled professional ready to pass the state board exams and work as a cosmetologist.

Barbering

Summit Salon Academy's barber students learn how to style their story. Barbering students obtain the necessary skills to offer exceptional experiences and relevant barbering techniques. Utilizing the education platform of Redken for Men and its custom looks for every man and woman, our barber students enjoy a private barber section to boost their skills to the highest levels.

Esthetics (Advanced)

Our unique curriculum is designed to empower you fast! You will grow from an excited novice to a passionate and talented professional in as little as 8 months. This course includes our 700 hour Esthetics course and an additional 140 hours of advanced makeup training that leads to a MUD makeup certification, including Airbrush & Bridal makeup, and Lash Extension Certifications.

Student Instructor
1000 hours
Instructor training at the Academy includes theory and practical instruction that prepares the student to teach in a cosmetology school. The Academy offers a 1000 hour training program in instructor training that meets Indiana state standards including 300 hours of education theory and demonstration and 700 hours of actual practice. The applicant must have at least 6 months salon experience in the field for which they are licensed.

Our massage therapy program teaches the foundations of this personal service. It will include education in the area of Therapeutic, Deep Tissue, Sports, Swedish and Hot Stone Massage Techniques.
